A few ways we use technology in our everyday learning:

  • We created videos using iMovie to demonstrate Newton’s Laws of Motion.  It social studies we create videos about topics and vocabulary.
  • We use the MyHomework app to record assignments.
  • Spelling City is a fun way to practice our spelling words.
  • We use NoRedInk to learn grammar.  NoRedInk provides authentic assessments and gives us immediate feedback.  It adjusts questions based on what we get right or wrong. If we get stuck, NoRedInk show us tutorials that help us correct our mistakes and keep going.
  • We use Achieve3000 to improve our reading comprehension.
  • Quizlet is a helpful way for us to study by quizzing ourselves. Teachers can make study guides and we can play games to learn.
  • We use PowerSchool to look at our grades and monitor our progress.
  • We use the Reminders app to remember assignments, meetings and our schedule such as band.
  • Schoology helps us find our assignments, see what’s happening around school, and have online conversations.
  • Our teachers have us put our worksheets in Notability to save on paper.  This helps us stay organized.  It’s also easier to erase if we make mistakes.
  • We watch learning videos on Kahn Academy.
  • We used Evernote to organize our information for our Endangered Species Paper.
  • We use Keynote to create presentations similar to PowerPoint.
  • We use the Simple Mind app to brainstorm and organize ideas in all subjects.

Title 1 Program – Public Notification

Each school district receiving Title 1 funds must publicly disseminate a report card to parents and the public that includes a variety of information at the district and school level. Detailed student performance data and other district report card information such as state test results, graduation, attendance, other academic indicators, teacher quality and more for the Howard-Suamico School District, and its school can be found on Wisconsin's Information Network for Successful Schools (WINSS) website - click on Parents, then on WINSS Successful School Guide, then on Data Analysis.

For tips on how to use the Data Analysis Section of WINSS.

If you do not have web access at home, visit your public library.
